Restrictions eased in J&K; telephone services restored

In Jammu & Kashmir, the day was marked by further easing of restrictions in both fixed line telephone services and on day time stepping out of homes for people.The situation has remained peaceful since the abrogation of article 370 and normalcy is becoming the norm.

Barricades were removed from Srinagar’s landmark Lal Chowk for the first time today after 15 days..Authorities informed that will attedance in school and offices picking up and becoming lively middle schools will also reopen in the valley starting on Wednesday..here’s more.

Jammu and Kashmir continues to move on the fast track to complete normalcy. Restrictions are being gradually eased after the abrogation of article 370 in J&K.

Almost 75% of fixed telephone services have been restored by the administration..Principal Secretary, Planning and Development..Rohit Kansal said 73,000 telephone connections are now operational..he also said middle schools will open in some areas of the Valley from Wednesday..

He also said that day time restrictions have been eased from most of the Police stations in Srinagar ..he said inter-district transportation is also normal..and adequate supplies of essential items and medicines is being provided to people.

Barricades were also removed from the commercial centre of Srinagar Lal Chowk after a gap of 15 days and vehicles were allowed to ply. Markets opened and vehicles were plying. Arrangements have been made by the administration to ensure the people are provided with the necessary material.
