Ferozepur, August 7, 2017: Whole India is celebrating Raksha Bandhan with their family with joy and happiness but Indian army soldiers on the border had to be on duty for our safety far away from their home to celebrate this festival with their sisters. Yes, Sarhadi Lok Sewa Samiti – a national level organisation – made it possible by joining them with their families at Hussainiwala to celebrate this festival today.

The Rakhis on the wrist of army soldiers were tied who remain on duty in very odd hours even by the family members of SLSS.

This initiative to celebrate the festival of love and bonding between brothers and sisters was taken by locals SLSS as a mark of solidarity and respect to the soldiers deployed far away from their families.
