Sensex, Nifty trade flat in afternoon trade
Benchmark equity indices were trading on a flat note on Friday afternoon
At 3.06 pm, the BSE Sensex was trading 12.18 points or 0.03% higher at 35,612.00, while the broader NSE Nifty was down by 0.02% or 2.40 points at 10,805.65.
Unabated buying by domestic institutional investors and scattered buying by retail investors helped trading sentiment, traders said.
DIIs bought equities worth Rs 576.19 crore, while foreign portfolio investors sold shares worth a net Rs 1,372.84 crore on Thursday, as per provisional data.
In the Sensex pack, Dr Reddy’s, Infosys, Sun Pharma, RIL, and TCS were the major gainers, advancing by up to 3.60%.
