Chandigarh, December 14 : In the case of sexual harassment of 14 Yrs. old school going girl by CIA Staff Kaithal, the State Counsel informed the HC that the IG, Karnal had conducted enquiry and 4 Policemen of CIA Staff were found negligent in duty, as they had not taken lady constable with them. When HC asked what action had been taken The State Counsel informed that The 4 Policemen including an Inspector were suspended. HC observed that the lady constable was not joined by CIA Staff for committing the nefarious act of sexual molestation. Upon this Advocate Pardeep Rapria, counsel for the 14 Yrs. Old girl argued that no FIR had been registered and suspension was just an eyewash to protect the policemen. Upon this, HC has directed the State Counsel to place on record the enquiry report of IG, Karnal Range. It may be recalled that IG Karnal had conducted enquiry when the media at national level raised the sexual harassment of 14 yrs. old girl by CIA Staff, Kaithal. Now, the matter has been posted for hearing on 06/2/18.
