In Maharashtra, Shiv Sena leader Kishori Pednekar was elected as Mayor of country’s richest Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation today. Neither of BJP, Congress and NCP nominated candidates for BMC Mayor’s post as they did not have the numbers.Incumbent Mayor of Shiv Sena Vishwanath Mahadeshwar’s term ended yesterday.

In the elections for the post of the mayor and the deputy mayor held this morning, Shiv Sena nominated Worli Corporator Pednekar who was elected unopposed for Mayor’s post and Malad’s Suhas Wadkar elected as her deputy.
