Pakistan Government has set up a new management body yo manage the affairs of Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib ignoring Sikhs and the Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee .9 member body named as Project Management Unit .All Muslim members belong to Muslim community . The body is headed by Tariq Khan Additional Secretary Evacuee Trust Property Board.

A notification in this regard has been issued by ETPB declaring that the PMU will be a self financing body for the management and maintenance of Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib under the administrative control of ETPB.

Meanwhile the Shiromani Akali Dal reacted strongly to the development. The SAD Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema in a tweet said,”SAD condemned & demanded reversal of decision of Pakistan to take full control of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur from PSGPC & hand it over to a new govt body with not even a single Sikh member on it. This is grave attack on fundamental rights of Sikh minority in Pakistan.”
