Hoshiarpur-based Sonalika International Tractors Limited (ITL) plans to invest Rs 200 crore to set up an R&D facility in the National Capital Region (NCR). The centre is likely to be operational in the next six months. It will assist in developing contemporary and future technology requirements to meet the emission and safety norms in global markets.

The facility will offer innovative farming solutions through technological upgrade, new emission regulations and reducing the product development cycle.

Raman Mittal, Executive Director, Sonalika Group, said, “This is the first step towards our new vision of 2 lakh tractors by 2023-24. This facility will be a fully functional development centre to produce all aggregates and all prototypes with latest state-of-the-art test facility.”
