Parliament passes Special Protection Group Bill, 2019 with Rajya Sabha clearing it on Tuesday; Union Home Minister Amit Shah tells the Upper House that security cannot be made a status symbol.

Upper House on Tuesday passed the Special Protection Group Bill, 2019.The Bill has already been approved by the Lok Ssabha. With this amendment the cover is officially only for the Prime Minister.

Union Minister Amit Shah replied to the debate and allayed all concerns about the decision being against a particular family and a part of vendetta politics.
