Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij has said that jobs would be given to sportspersons under the sports quota on the basis of seniority and merit.

Applications have been invited from the sportspersons for giving government jobs.

Vij said unlike the previous state government led by former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda which had committed various irregularities in recruitment to government jobs, the present state government had been giving jobs to eligible persons on the basis of merit.

Similarly, jobs would be given to the sportspersons with outstanding achievements, said the minister.
