STUDENTS SHOWCASE TALENT IN HERITAGE EVENTS AT PAU YOUTH FEST

The Inter-College Youth Festival 2017-18, underway at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), saw competitions in chikku making, naala making, enu making, clay toys and peedi making. The students displayed their talent and creative skills in all the traditional art and craft items. The competitions highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.

Dr Neelam Grewal, Dean, Postgraduate Studies, who was the chief guest, said, “Co-curricular activities go a long way in shaping the personality and honing the skills of the youth.” She appreciated the students for their dedication and devotion, and exhorted them to carve a niche for themselves in diverse fields.”

The formal inauguration of the youth fest would be held tomorrow that is October 31 at Open Air Theatre at 9.30 am. Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, will be the chief guest of the inaugural session.2
