Sushma co-chairs Tokyo strategic talks
New Delhi,
India and Japan on Thursday held the ninth round of Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue in Tokyo.
Co-Chaired by Sushma Swaraj and Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono, the talks focused on increasing cooperation on bilateral and multilateral forums. “Our special strategic and global partnership has acquired a broader significance in the current global context. Our growing convergence on economic and strategic issues is important for peace, stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region,” Sushma Swaraj said.
Kono called India the most important partner for Japan in its free and open Indo-Pacific strategy.
The respective envoys signed and exchanged notes concerning the provisions for four Yen-loan projects.
