The mother of the Unnao rape survivor has told the Supreme Court that she doesn’t want her daughter to be shifted from a Lucknow hospital to the AIIMS in New Delhi.

The Apex court on Friday had ordered that the Unnao rape survivor’s family was at liberty to take a call on shifting her to AIIMS here from Lucknow hospital where she is undergoing treatment following a road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Raebareli district.

The CJI had asked if the victim’s family would like her to be shifted to AIIMS for better treatment.Top court also has directed her uncle lodged in Rae Bareli jail in an attempt to murder case to be shifted to Tihar jail immediately for security reasons.

Meanwhile, the SC has directed electronic and print media not to reveal the victim’s identify directly or indirectly after Amicus V Giri said some TV channels were showing the victim’s old visuals.
