VIGILANCE NABS SDO FOR TAKING BRIBE OF RS. 50,000

State Vigilance Bureau, during its ongoing campaign against corruption, today nabbed a SDO of PSPCL red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000.
Disclosing this an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said Ram Lal Kler SDO posted at PSPCL Rahon in district SBS Nagar, has been nabbed red handed on the complaint of Harjinder Singh, resident of village Bharta, PS Rahon, district SBS Nagar.
He added that the complainant has approached the Bureau and informed that the accused was demanding bribe of Rs. 50,000 from him for getting approval of new tubewell connection from senior officers.
The Spokesman informed that after verifying his information the Vigilance team laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed while accepting the bribe of Rs.50,000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.
He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at VB police station Jalandhar and further investigations was under progress.
