This is the second time when Kohli has won the best cricketer of the year award. Kohli was first awarded best ODI cricketer by ICC five years ago.

ICC today named Indian captain Virat Kohli ICC Cricketer of the Year 2017, ODI cricketer of the year and winner of the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for his exceptional performances across all formats.Kohli is also the captain for ICC’s ODI and Test team of the year.

This is the second time when Kohli has won the best cricketer of the year award. Kohli was first awarded best ODI cricketer by ICC five years ago. Kohli scored six tons ODIs last year, averaging a mammoth 76.84 in the year. His ODI career average now stands at 55.74, the highest ever by a batsman among test playing nations.

Apart from Indian captain, Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has also been awarded ICC T20I performance of the year for his incredible haul of 6/25 against England in Bengaluru in February. Australian captain Steven Smith is declared Test cricketer of the year.

Pakistan’s Hasan Ali is adjudged ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan is named ICC Associate Cricketer of the Year.Pakistan’s Champions Trophy Triumph has got the inaugural ICC Fans’ Moment of the Year award.
