VVIP Chopper case: Delhi Court grants further 5-day remand of Christian Michel
AgustaWestland chopper scam alleged middleman Christian Michel’s CBI custody extended by another five days; investigating agency tells court more time needed for interrogation.
CBI has got 5 days custody of Christian Michel, the alleged middleman in Rs 3,600 crore AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal. He was produced before the Patiala House court on Monday.
Michel was extradited to India from Dubai on 4 December. After questioning him for several hours, the CBI produced him to the special CBI court, which sent Michel to CBI custody for five days.
The court had asked the CBI to provide all relevant documents including the charge sheet to Michel.
Michel is one of the three middlemen being probed in the case, besides Guido Haschke and Carlo Gerosa, by the ED and the CBI.
