Residents of adjoining house told to come out to prevent danger

Chandigarh, Dec. 20 : A house owner in Sector 42B chandigarh While digging basement, broke the water supply line on Wednesday. The leakage of water filled the basement making it a pond which resulted in creating danger to the adjoining house no. 1472 of this sector. The matter became serious when the owner of the house S.S. NAGAR, a retd. IPS officer was told to come outside his house along with his family by the water supply Deptt. The water in the basement was Pumped out by the deptt.
Mr. SS Nahar told media persons that due to the water in the basement, it created danger for the plinth of his house.
The deptt. is investigating the matter as it is the fault of the house owner of no. 1473, who while making basement, damaged the water pipe line.
