Will not let organised crime grow: Khattar

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that state government would not let the organised crime to grow.

Khattar was addressing police officers after laying the foundation stone of Haryana 100 project, a centralised Police Control Room (PCR), here today. He exhorted the officers to maintain law and order and not to allow any kind of crime and criminal to grow in their respective areas. On the installation of CCTV cameras, he said that the government would install one lakh CCTV cameras to keep a close eye on all activities in the current year. With this, the number of CCTV cameras would increase to 3 lakh in the state, he said.

The CM said the police behavior towards people should be friendly. In this direction, ‘mitra kaksh’ had been opened on pilot basis in Karnal and Rohtak and the concept would be replicated in other districts after its success. BS Sandhu, DGP, said that Haryana 100 project was the flagship programme of the CM which became a ground reality in just six months. He said that ambulance and fire services would also be connected with the project.
