In the ICC Cricket World Cup, India are scheduled to play New Zealand in their third round-robin match at Nottingham this afternoon. The match is slated to begin at 3 P.M.

There is a forecast of light showers throughout the day. Nottingham has been witnessing incessant rain for the last three-four days.

Both India and New Zealand have maintained the winning streak in the tournament. The Kiwis are at the top of the 10-team points table with three wins from as many games having defeated Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the previous matches.

With two victories from two games, Team India is fourth behind second-placed Australia and hosts England. The Men in Blue had outplayed South Africa and Australia in their first two games.

India will be without the services of opener Shikhar Dhawan as he has suffered a hairline fracture on his left thumb. India’s Assistant Coach Sanjay Bangar said a final decision on Dhawan’s availability will be taken only after 10 to 12 days.

The statement means that Dhawan will be out of the games against New Zealand today, Pakistan on Sunday, Afghanistan on the 22nd and the West Indies on the 27th of this month.
