A three-year-old girl who had fallen into a borewell at Mungiachak locality of Munger district in Bihar was rescued after 29 hours on Wednesday.

After being rescued from the borewell, Sanno was taken to Munger Sadar Hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit for treatment.

The girl had fallen into a 160-foot borewell dug up in the house courtyard on Tuesday. Fortunately, she got trapped at a depth of 43 feet only that made her rescue easy.

Teams of the State Disaster Response Force and National Disaster Response Force were pressed into service to rescue the child.

Oxygen was continuously supplied to the child trapped in the borewell using a pipe. Her activities were also continuously monitored with the help of a camera.
