Srinagar
Dineshwar Sharma, Centre’s special representative for Jammu and Kashmir, met former Chief Minister and president of the Peoples Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti, senior police officers and others on his visit to the state on Wednesday.

Sharma, during his more than 10 visits since appointment in October last year, had held a series of meetings with Mehbooba before the PDP-BJP coalition government collapsed on June 19.

Earlier, Swayam Prakash Pani, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Range, along with other officials, met the Centre’s interlocutor for Jammu and Kashmir at Hari Niwas here. This is Sharma’s first visit to the state since the fall of the coalition government, when he was already camping in the summer capital. He had to cut short his visit in the wake of the development.

Three students of Craft Development Institute, Srinagar, also interacted with the Centre’s representative and put forth their demands.
