Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches ‘Khelo India App’; Addressing the Youth Parliament Festival 2019 in New Delhi, PM says, today’s youth is capable of dealing with challenges; Says, the youth is ready for multi-tasking.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave away the National Youth Parliament Festival 2019 awards in New Delhi.

In his Mann Ki Baat address in December 2017, PM Modi had shared his idea of organising Youth Parliaments for young people in every district of the country.

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore had launched the festival on the 12th of last month to encourage the youth to engage with public issues and understand the common man’s point of view.

More than 50 thousand youths participated through Youth Parliaments at all levels. The best three speakers at the National Youth Parliament were awarded Rs 2 Lakh, Rs 1.5 Lakh and 1 Lakh respectively in order of merit along with a certificate.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Modi also launched the Khelo India mobile app which is aimed to bring awareness on fitness and sports. The App is a first-of-its-kind sports application that makes for valuable information for readers.

Speaking on the occasion, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always inspired us to set new standards and the youth of the country consider PM Modi their icon.

The Union minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi through his dedication and hard work has made the Impossible, possible.
