ADC ASKS OFFICERS/ OFFICIALS TO EXPEDITE THE PROCESS FOR COMPLETING THE SURVEY UNDER MGSVY

PRESIDES OVER REVIEW MEETING TO MONITOR THE SCHEME

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh directed the officers/ officials of Rural Development and Panchayat Department to expedite the process for completing the survey under the flagship program of Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna (MGSVY).

Presiding over a review meeting to implement the scheme efficiently here at his office, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the state government’s this ambitious scheme would ensure that the needy people could get the benefits of pro-poor schemes of the government. He said that the scheme would be implemented in the rural areas of district, where it would identify the poor and distressed households which have been hitherto deprived of the benefits of the various welfare schemes. Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh said that the scheme also aims to achieve the objectives of holistic development of all sections of the society besides ensuring social justice and equality by improving the standard of living and quality of life in rural area.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that the survey must be completed at the earliest to ensure that people were benefitted from it. He asked the officers/ officials to identify the eligible beneficiaries under MGSVY. Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh said that state government’s this scheme aims at inclusive development and ensuring equitable access to benefits of all socio-economic development schemes to the most deserving adding that any sort of callousness in this task was unwarranted and undesirable.

On the occasion District Development and Panchayat Officer Mr. Iqbalpreet Singh was also present.
