Demanding regularisation of service and adjustment of 1,200 JBT guest teachers, members of the Haryana Guest Teachers Association continued their dharna and chain fast near Health Minister Anil Vij’s house today.

Vij said, “Guest teachers should meet the Education Minister as the department concerned is his, but they can sit here as long as they want.” Reacting to queries regarding an assurance, he said, “It is a mistake which will not be repeated.”

In February 2014, when the Congress was in saddle, Vij and Ram Bilas Sharma had extended support, the protesters pointed out.
