The Ranchi High Court on Friday ordered former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad to surrender on August 30 after dismissing his plea of extending provisional bail on medical grounds.
The Court had granted him provisional bail till August 27 on medical grounds. Lalu’s counsel had appealed to the court for extending his provisional bail by four months but the court dismissed the plea.

Lalu’s counsel Prabhat Kumar said he had pleaded for the extension of provisional bail granted to Lalu Prasad till August 27 by four months but the Court of Justice Apresh Singh dismissed his plea and asked Prasad to surrender before the court by August 30.

Prasad would now get treatment at RIMS, Ranchi, as per the court order, claimed Lalu’s counsel.A surgery was performed on Prasad in June after which the doctors advised him to rest for three months.
