NSS volunteers held computer training class for the children from Burail

CHANDIGARH ,26 DEC 2017: on the Day 5 NSS volunteers of the Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector-45 held computer training class for the children from Burail. A special decoration drive of the campus was also undertaken. The volunteers painted the flower pots and bricks on the side pathways.

NSS camp began with fitness exercises to make the NSS volunteers strong and healthy. It was followed by a session on Cyber Bullying: ‘Problems & Solutions’ by a city based psychologist. Students were made aware of the various forms of net bullying, blue whale game and ‘selfie syndrome’. The negative effects of such addiction on the physical and psychological health of people were highlighted by the resource person. Some volunteers shared their views on how they have been victims of such bullying. The volunteers found it to be a highly informative session.
Principal, Institute for Blinds, Sector-26, Chandigarh delivered a motivational talk for the volunteers. He highlighted the role of education in a student’s life. He recited motivational poems and inspired the volunteers to work hard and keep trying to achieve their goals no matter what comes in their way. The session was made interesting and interactive by narrating stories. Positive attitude, strong determination, having confidence in our abilities, respecting the elders and making judicious use of time, are very important to be successful in life.
