The Cabinet Committee on Security headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir against the backdrop of the Pulwama attack that has claimed 37 lives of CRPF personnel, has ended.

Raksha Mantri Nirmala Sitharaman, EAM Sushma Swaraj and Home Minister Rajnath Singh are in the meeting.Cabinet Secretary, Defence Secretary and CRPF DG also attended the meeting.

A team of National Investigation Agency and National Security Guards has left for Kashmir to assist in the investigation. DG, CRPF RR Bhatnagar will also go to Srinagar to take stock of the situation.
