Rao Inderjit raises Rewari’s demands with Rail Minister

Rewari,
Union Minister of State for Planning Rao Inderjit on Tuesday called on Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in Delhi and urged him to fulfil long-pending demands of residents of Rewari district.

The demands are inclusion of Rewari in Delhi Division of the Northern Railway, initiation of construction work of underpass at the double crossing in Rewari city, extension of Mandor Express up to Chandigarh and Himalayan Queen Express up to Rewari, foot overbridge at Kund railway station and speed-up the electrification work on the Rewari-Delhi lines.

“After listening to the demands, the Railway Minister directed officials to ensure completion of the electrification work on the Rewari-Delhi lines before the deadline. He assured not only of getting revised estimated approved for the construction of underpass at the double crossing, but also of exploring the feasibility of inclusion of Rewari in the Delhi Division,” said Rao Inderjit.

Rao said Goyal was also apprised of the problem being faced by residents of Gokalgarh and nearby villages in the district while going to other side of the railway line due to non-availability of an underpass. The Railway Minister immediately directed the officials to resolve the problem on priority.
