Two persons have been arrested for the murder of a resident of the town in the Sector 14 market here on September 10.

The accused, Sonu and Amar of different localities in the town, had allegedly shot dead Kanhiya Lal of Sikka Colony.

The police arrested them from the Sector 7 area on Wednesday. They were produced in court today and have been taken in three-day police custody for recovery of the weapons used in the crime and ascertaining if anyone else was involved in the murder.

On the complaint of the victim’s son, Johny, a case of murder was registered against the accused at the Civil Lines police station.
