Union Minister Babul Supriyo was heckled by a section of students at Jadavpur University follwoing which West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar, who is also the Chancellor of Jadavpur University, arrived at the scene and managed to rescue Babul Supriyo.

Later in a tweet, Babul Supriyo said that Governor spoke to the VC of JadavpurUniversity and indicated to him that it was improper for him not to have taken prompt steps in the matter, that can lead to unwholesome results. This is a very serious reflection on the law and order of the state.
